Review:

It's been a good day, although not as restful as one might wish. WCB played at Spencerville, and I was delighted to see that Corey and Christy decided to be there too. Vicki tends to get a bad headache from the perfumes at that church, so she and the kids stayed home. The brass played very well, especially since we had not been brushing up on this music. It was nice to see Mark Willey again. I wonder if he remembers that I play violin.

Vicki cooked up a delicious green rice casserole for lunch. In the afternoon we waited to connect with Sharon, who wanted to go bicycling with us. She was with Cheri, who fell and injured her foot. Sharon took her to emergency care. Sharon was also given two baby squirrels, and she's been scrambling around to take care of them. In the end we went riding without her. We rode about 4 miles, a reasonable beginning after doing almost nothing last year, I suppose. Late in the evening we ate supper at American Cafe. In the parking lot we saw a fat squirrel holding and gnawing on a bone, the remains of some fried chicken. He seemed quite unconcerned with us, and only moved when a car pulled up right next to him.

William and Beth both have submitted new puzzles to griddlers.net. William's new puzzles include Bob the Tomato, Radish, and Pumpkin, and Beth's is a multi-griddler Mountain Lion. Very nice! Vicki recently submitted a couple of hummingbirds, and one of them has been at the #2 spot on the popularity board!

What war means

I've been particularly moved by this recent series in Doonesbury, starting with this strip.

CMW

I've been postponing work on the CMW registration script, but I think I may get to it tonight or tomorrow morning. Mom and Ellen/Jeremy both reported that it was working fine, and pointed out a few minor odds-n-ends.

Get started!

OK, the work day is over, Sabbath will be here soon, I can finally take a moment to start my personal weblog. So this is it! I'm planning to pick one of the third-party themes, and to get a comment system going very early in the process.
